Teen Problems and their Causes

Most teen problems these days appear in different and varying kinds and they do not care whether you’re rich or poor. The fact is, there are no specifics as to who are subjected to sexual abuse, who are psychologically disturbed, who are engaging in drugs and alcohol, and who are absorbing domestic violence.

Even in steady and secure families, teenagers still face personality, health, and emotional problems that will surely define what kind of future they’ll have. And the sad fact is the developing world contributes to these problems.

Liberalism and tolerance are contributory factors in teen and premarital sex, drug and alcohol abuse, and other unhealthy and violent relationships. The continuing tolerance of parents as well as other people who are tasked to discipline and guide teens result in issues like:

- Teenage pregnancy
- Alcohol and drug addiction
- Violence and criminal behavior

But aside from those mentioned, teens are also capable of inflicting self-deterioration and pain caused primarily by personality, psychological, and emotional problems. Among these include:

- Violent behavior
- Loss of interest for socialization
- Severe depression, loneliness, and anxiety
- Panic attacks
- Weight problems and eating disorder

Lastly, another major provider is unrest within the home. Most teens run away from their own homes in order to avoid domestic abuse from the parents. The reality will soon place them under constant risk of being abused and exploited in the outside and that will likely mean a bleak and daunting future ahead.
